Fitness in the Tactical Edge system is extremely important. You don’t have to be fit to join but in a matter of weeks you will see a noticeable increase in your fitness levels, strength and stamina or I will refund your training fees.
The reason is that our warm-ups are fast and intense and employ the use of the Russian kettlebells. The kettlebells are like a cannonball with a handle and there are a great many ways to use them and many different schools of thought. We have tailored our exercises to the basic exercises which work our entire body and show us the kinetic linkage that we need when we train for self defence. In a self defence situation we will operate from 0 to 100 mph in a few seconds so our work outs have to mimic this. For example, if we were going to fight for rounds in a competition then we could do a lot of running outside for long distances to build stamina. However, we want the power of a sprinter that comes out of nowhere like a sprinter bursting from the blocks. The kettlebells allow us to get the edge over traditional gym training in this regard.
Each new member will be shown the basic kettlebells exercises and from there you can join straight into the warm-ups.
